My new year's resolution was to update this blog.

Ahhhhhhh 久しぶり~。Spring vacation started this week (in January. I know. I'm just glad I'm not paying tuition to that university for what adds up to five months of term-time a year) and so I thought I'd at least attempt to keep up with this blog a bit better. I have about 1200 "oh Japan, you craaaaazy" pictures on my iPhone that the world needs to see.

I should mention that I'm pretty active on Twitter (@uiggu) in both English & Japanese, so follow away as you so choose!

But first! It snowed in Tokyo yesterday, and like everyone else I took a photo of it (but out of my kitchen window as it was 11pm and I was in my jammies, as I perpetually am).

Also, in keeping with the snow theme, here's a dessert I had called 雪うさぎちゃん ("snow bunny" or "mountain hare", but "snow bunny" is cuter so we'll go with that, aight) at a very cute and rather upmarket rabbit-themed izakaya. It was so cute I almost couldn't eat it (key word: "almost").

In the meantime I also went to China for the first time in September, and my goodness, that was quite some head trip. China, you craaaaaaaaazy (perhaps not more so than Japan, but probably equally so, in very different ways).

H and I also, thanks to his promotion at work [applause] moved to Tokyo!! Finally the day I was waiting for! We're really close to Shibuya now and my commute is a mere one hour 20 minutes by bus-train-train-school bus! (Trust me, it's an improvement from sitting on the same train for an hour and 50 minutes, namely in that I don't pass out on the train or in class any more. Mood ++!).

More updates later this week.でゎ~( ^_^)/~~~
