Just look at this beauty! The char siu is VERTICAL! Char-siu men from the ramen place across from our house in Center Kita, 風雷人 (fuuraijin 'Wind Thunder Man', which is I'm sure you'll agree an appropriately EPIC name for a ramen shop serving such EPIC char siu men).
We hadn't been there in a good five months, being faithful patrons of Yokohama-ya, which does my favourite tonkotsu-shoyu ramen. This place used to do Hakata ramen (check the Wiki page for an explanation of the different ramen types) but apparently changed their concept completely in the time that H and I didn't visit them. This is very unusual for a ramen shop, but with char siu like that I'm not complaining. The new soup is a normal tonkotsu base.
It also healed a vicious hangover, so two thumbs up! d(^_^o)
